Cynthia Ayres
Cynthia started her professional life as a librarian and lecturer at a teacher’s training college in South Africa after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in library and information science. A change of career followed after eight years when she joined her husband’s HR and training consultancy. She became a HR and training administrator and spent the next 12 years working in various countries (Zambia, The Democratic Republic of Congo and Finland) before settling in the UK after her husband’s retirement.
Cynthia joined Graham Handley Architects in 2016 after taking some time off following the birth of her son.
In her spare time Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family, reading and helping her husband throw large amounts of money in any nearby body of water (renovating old boats)! She also enjoys fibre crafts like knitting and crochet and is currently teaching herself to spin her own yarn.
